James liked his little bungalow near the river Clyde. He was new to fishing, Sundays would never be the same. He sat down beside the river to rest awhile. Then the humming sound came and he fell asleep. When he awoke it was almost dark and he raced up the riverbank, dinner should be ready. What James saw with his eyes he could not believe. His house and all signs of civilisation were gone, along with his wife and children. The countryside was the same and yet it wasn't.

Where was he? where was his home and the village? In the distance the sound of wild beasts roaring and coming nearer filled him with fear.
